A former fashion, lifestyle and arts & culture journalist, May followed her curiosity into marketing, branding, and communications for over 15+ years, working both with and within social impact companies and corporations across North America.

Now a certified sound therapy practitioner, she was educated at the Institute of Traditional Medicine in the areas of sound, cymatics, Traditional Chinese Medicine, trauma-informed practice, and more. Her practice, oto healing, is based in Los Angeles, California, and Vancouver, Canada, with flexibility to travel to (and with) clients worldwide. She has facilitated sound immersions in Toronto, Canada, with plans to continue hosting events and retreats in all global cities.

May's wide range of clients include corporate & institutional teams (lululemon, Herschel Supply Co., CIBC, The University of British Columbia, etc.), BIPOC & queer communities, professional athletes, creatives & creators, musicians, Gen Z collectives, expectant mothers, cancer patients, and more.

Her natural curiosity also led her back to what she loves most about journalism: connecting with other human beings and offering a safe platform for their stories. Out of intimate, inspired life conversations she regularly has with creatives and entrepreneurs in her world, her podcast The Craft came into being, with new episodes released every Wednesday.

May has been featured in Vitruvi’s magazine Our Natural Habitat, Alive Magazine, Up We Go, Vancouver Magazine and podcasts such as A Little More Good, Choosing Wellness, The All Sorts podcast, Do That Well, The Corker Collective podcast, and Enfold Institute.

Trained in piano through internationally-recognized The Royal Conservatory of Music, sound has been part of her essence from a young age. She was also born into a maternal lineage of South Pacific healers, magick workers, and medicine women in her family.

May holds her vision of sound, voice, and deep connection as vessels for bringing people home to themselves and into harmony with humanity.
